The SFDR® (Static Flexible Deformable Ring) unit replaces the solid mandrel.

This flexible adjustable unit allows profile modifications which can be reproduced at any time and do not require de- and reinstallation of the mandrel tool.

During mold validation for an article, the profiling can be changed as often as necessary, which is not possible with a profiling that has been mechanically incorporated. Together with the patented changeable insert technology a product or weight change can be realized within minutes.
