UniSort PR EVO 5.0

The UniSort PR EVO 5.0 reflects STEINERT’s years of experience gained from several UniSort generations and the huge amounts of data that have been processed. This forms the basis for further advances in sorting performance, but also for optimising processes in the value-added chain. This in turn enables users to respond flexibly to changing material flows and recognise but also most importantly tap into new potentials.

The five most important new features of the UniSort PR EVO 5.0 at a glance:

  • Revamped light boxes

  • Enhanced valve manifold

  • Dynamic calibration

  • Automatic white balance

  • Object recognition

UniSort BlackEye

UniSort BlackEye is the logical development of our HSI technology. STEINERT camera-based technology is used here too. The difference to the standard HSI camera lies mainly in the observed frequency range.

The highly effective UniSort BlackEye STEINERT sorting unit will separate your bulk materials in the 10–40 mm fraction range. It consists of a feed and dispensing device with a material hopper, an acceleration conveyor belt, a containment hood and a compressed air nozzle bar.

Your benefits:

  • The UniSort BlackEye organises darkness: sorts black plastics by type

  • Low over-sorting

  • Conveyor belt system (no slide)

  • Fraction size: 10-40 mm

  • Programmable for different sorting criteria

  • Accurate detection of position and discharge

UniSort Film EVO 5.0

NIR sorting unit with Hyper Spectral Imaging camera technology for optimal sorting of 2D materials

Up to 50% more throughput than standard systems

Lightweight 2D fractions such as plastic films and bags as well as paper and fibres tend to float up at high belt speeds owing to their low surface weight – which means they can only be sorted in low throughputs by conventional systems. All objects should also lie separately on the belt and overlapping of objects must be prevented for good performance.

This is less of a problem for applications using 3D material, since transfer of the objects onto the acceleration belt usually ensures sufficient separation. This separation process is much more demanding with light 2D components. Because these flat objects cannot be accelerated at the usual high belt speed of 3 m/s.

The five most important new features of the UniSort Film EVO 5.0 at a glance:

  • Innovative belt cover

  • Optimised ventilation plates

  • New service hatches

  • Dynamic calibration

  • Automatic white balance

UniSort Black

NIR sorting unit for reliable detection and sorting of different materials – even black objects

Effective diversity: reduction of sorting residues, increased plastic ratio, higher plastic extraction, removal of black PVC and cleaning of green waste

We have developed the UniSort Black as a further stage of expansion of the proven UniSort PR line.

And all materials detectable using NIR are reliably recognised because the UniSort Black also operates with our in-house HSI camera technology. The UniSort Black can additionally detect dark or even black objects due to its special arrangement and adapted classification system. The latter otherwise remain invisible to standard NIR sorters.

Your benefits:

  • Detects and sorts different materials

  • Even black objects can be detected and sorted in addition to the substances detectable by default using NIR

UniSort Finealyse+

UniSort Finealyse+ is a higher-performing version of its established UniSort Finealyse sensor sorting system.

This new machine was developed especially for the challenges experienced when processing plastic flakes and granulates as well as when sorting metal granulates with grain sizes ranging from 2 to 30 mm.

For the best possible sorting at all times, UniSort Finealyse + also provides an automatic white balance for calibration purposes and a split variant for simultaneously running several sorting processes on one machine. The split function allows several material flows to be sorted at the same time or for the sorted product to be subsequently cleaned in parallel on one machine.

Your benefits:

  • Low over-sorting

  • Conveyor belt system (no slide)

  • Fraction size: 2–30 mm

  • Programmable for different sorting criteria

  • Accurate detection of position and discharge

  • Modular structure for sorting plastics and metal

STEINERT EddyC

The eddy current separator STEINERT EddyC: the new standard

Use of the new belt changing concept to simplify maintenance work on the non-ferrous metal separator

The design of our new STEINERT EddyC combines things that have been tried and tested with innovation in the separation of non-ferrous metals. STEINERT also continues to rely on the established eccentrically mounted magnetic pole system with powerful neodymium-iron-boron magnets and robust construction of all machine elements in its eddy current separators.

Your benefits:

  • Eccentric non-ferrous metal separator following the STEINERT principle

  • Proven technology of the non-ferrous metal separators in a new design

  • Adapted magnetic pole systems available for various applications

  • Working widths: 500 – 2,500 mm
