Founded in 1956 in Siegburg by Heinrich Koch, the company SIKOPLAST is a medium-sized company with Tradition. The core business of the company is the development, production and sale of plants and systems for recycling
plastics. The range of products offered by SIKOPLAST is continuously being extended and expanded.

Alongside conventional recycling plants for the preparation of production waste, our range today also includes washing plants and systems for the
processing of plastic waste, silos, conveyor belts, granulators and pelletising systems.We have been competent full-service suppliers of high-quality
recycling plants for the preparation of thermoplastic plastics for over 60 years. Our experience combined with modern technology works in your favour.

Underwater pelletizing system UWG

The underwater pelletizing system of the UWG series is characterised by its flexible area of application. With it almost all thermoplastics can be pelletized, also viscosities which are not anymore processsable with the normal strand pelletizing systems or the waterring pelletizing systems.

Off-Line pelletizing systems for thermoplastics Typ HKS

Our recycling lines are optimized for processing light and not floatable materials. Our special screw design makes it possible to process extremely light materials without pre-compacting and without termal pre-treatment. Our modular developed systems will be arranged according to the respective application. SIKOREX Co-Extrusion (Inline system)

The co-extrusion of the SIKOREX series form the basis for an economic recycling of all resulting production waste beside the PP non-woven and film production. They are optimized for re-feeding of rolls or direct re-feeding of edge-trims with max. speed of 375 m/min. If necessary, the SIKOREX plant can be equipped with 2 infeed devices for the parallel infeed of edge trims and roller goods.

Process challenging technical plastics, like PVB
When people think of plastic waste recycling, they don't automatically think of SIKOPLAST Maschinenbau Heinrich Koch GmbH or the recycling of very technically sophisticated plastics - which is usually a misconception because precisely this combination has great potential when a medium-sized recycling company faces complex requirements. So it’s worthwhile to take a closer look beyond the familiar, because unlike large, prominent manufacturers, small companies often offer greater flexibility and can address new, individual customer requirements better. Not many clients know that SIKOPLAST has the necessary know-how to process challenging technical plastics. These include PVB for instance, which is also used as an interlayer between the glass panes of windscreens. Recycling critical and sensitive production waste of this kind poses a big problem for most recycling manufacturers when it comes to recirculating them into the production process. Absolute cautiousness is required, otherwise the sensitive material tends to bond or degrade. In order to counteract this, SIKOPLAST has developed a special single-shaft extruder for the gentle collection, melting and subsequent transport of PVB film edge cuts into the production extruder. In this way, not only is waste prevented and resources conserved, but energy costs are also lowered because the elaborate intermediate step of granulation can be omitted completely, thanks to the direct recirculation of PVB molten mass into the production system. The first units of this kind are already operating successfully. Once again, SIKOPLAST proves that smaller companies have a right to exist and are often a better choice compared to the prevailing establishment in certain areas.
